In 2013, the Swiss Statistics Meeting was combined with the 'International Conference Ars Conjectandi 1713-2013', celebrating the 300th anniversary of Jakob I. Bernoulli's seminal publication 'Ars Conjectandi'. At the same time the Swiss Statistical Society (SSS) celebrates its 25th anniversary. These events were the official contribution of the SSS to the 'International Year of Statistics (Statistics2013)' and took place at the Congress Center Basel.
